Other ProjectsCleveExploration to date has identified several bedrock targets with potential for uranium mineralisation. Further work will be carried out as the Samphire project is advanced and resources become available. UraniumSA holds 100 per cent of the uranium rights, Archer Exploration Ltd (ASX code AXE) have all other mineral rights and are conducting active exploration in the area.
TarcoolaThe Tarcoola Project is a 73:27 joint venture with Stellar Resources Limited (SRZ) and covers an 87km east-to-west section of the Kingoonya Palaeodrainage System (KPS). Initial exploration drilling at Tarcoola was completed in April 2008. The sediments of the KPS are favourable for sedimentary hosted uranium mineralisation. Further drilling is planned to commence once work area clearances have been obtained under the existing agreement with the Far West Coast Native Title Claimant Group. MuckanippieThe Muckanippie Project comprises a single, wholly owned tenement located 65km northeast of the Tarcoola Project and covering a headwater system of the Kingoonya Palaeodrainage System (KPS). The focus of the project is the concentrically zoned Muckanippie Anorthosite Complex which has potential for the discovery of Cu-Ni-PGE mineralisation. The overlying younger cover sequences are favourable for sedimentary hosted uranium mineralisation. Initial reconnaissance drilling by UraniumSA located strong uranium anomalism in permissive settings. |
